- Diabetes Support Group: September 2, YMCA Bettye J. McCormick Senior Center, 2009 Prospect Ave., Vincennes. The free support group is for those with diabetes, their families and caregivers. - Depression Support Group: September 2, Memorial Hospital Counseling Center, Jasper. The free support group is for those with depression, their families and caregivers. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month. For more information call 812-481-5780.
- A Gathering of Friends: September 9, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., ATTIC, 1721 Washington Ave., Vincennes. The free meeting is open to anyone with interests in issues regarding disabilities and/or special health care needs. The group also addresses barrier issues to services. - Breast Cancer Sharing and Surviving Group: September 9, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Daviess Community Hospital Education Center, 1314 E. Walnut St., Washington. The free support group is for those with breast cancer or who have survived the disease and their families and caregivers. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month. The free support group is for those with multiple sclerosis, their families and caregivers. The group meets the second Saturday of each month. - Bereavement Support Group: September 16, 10:30 a.m., Good Samaritan Hospice House, 601 S. Ninth St., Vincennes. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month.

The free support group is for those with cardiac concerns, their families and caregivers. The group meets in the center conference room the fourth Tuesday of each month. - H.E.A.L.T.H. Meeting: September 24, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Daviess Community Hospital. Washington. H.E.A.L.T.H. stands for Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles Taught Here and is aimed at raising the awareness of ways to promote healthy and active lifestyles. The Daviess County group is connected to a state team with Action for Healthy Kids. Residents can sign up for the group and meeting by calling 812-254-8668 or 812-687-7800, ext. 224. EnhanceFitness® Exercise
Programs: Generations
is sponsoring three EnhanceFitness® exercise programs in its service
area. This exercise program is especially designed to keep people
active as they age.
- In Dubois County, the class is held at the Salem United Church of Christ, 202 East 4th Street, Huntingburg, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- In Knox County, classes are underway at the Vincennes YMCA, 2010 College Ave. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.
- In Greene County, classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Glenburn Community and Wellness Center in Linton at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- In Daviess County, classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Ketcham Memorial in Odon.
