Generations reaccredited by Council on Accreditation
Generations just received word that the Council on Accreditation has reaccredited our agency. Generations was only the third Area Agency on Aging in the nation to meet COA's national standards of best practice when it was first accredited in 2004. COA reaccreditation is an objective and reliable verification that provides confidence and support to an organization's service recipients, board members, staff and community partners. The COA reaccreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of both an organization's administrative operations and its service delivery practices.
RECENT NEWS
Tai Chi Offered in Martin County
Generations is kicking off its Martin County Tai Chi Class on Tuesday, May 18th, at 10 a.m. at the Shoals Senior Center. The class will be just under one hour in length and meet every other week. Attending the kick-off class is very important since participants will be asked for input on the optimum week days to hold the class. Tai Chi is very good for balance and improving health. Most participants who practice for a short time (as little as 15 minutes) on their own daily will notice better breathing, flexibility, energy and mood. Tai Chi is an exercise you can continue for your entire life no matter what your abilities may be. For more information, call Jane Henry at 936-2300 or 295-6784.
