Our Mission and Impact

Mission: We offer people choices as they age to live a better life with dignity.

As one of 16 Area Agencies on Aging in Indiana, we have the resources to help the aging, persons of all ages with physical disabilities, and their caregivers. Our administrative arm is Vincennes University. Generations is a member of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A) and Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging (IAAAA) and a member of the board of directors for the National Enterprise Alliance. Generations is part of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration and the Indiana Division of Aging. We serve more than 3,300 clients in the Indiana counties of Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Knox, Martin and Pike. Generations complies with Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

Generations, affiliated with Vincennes University, is a not-for-profit agency which serves older adults and disabled individuals of all ages, in the counties of Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Knox, Martin and Pike, without regard to race, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, and/or sexual orientation by providing resources that foster personal independence while assuring individual dignity and an enhanced quality of life. Generations' mission is to offer people choices as they age to live a better life with dignity.
