It’s As Easy As Click, Click, Click Help.
It’s true, you’re getting older. And everyone you know is getting older too. So it’s probably time you went to Link-Age Aging and Disability Resource Center — the one point with all the answers Hoosiers need to know. There are hundreds of Indiana resources all collected in one place: link-age.org.
Link-Age can help with just about everything related to long-term care, including getting hot meals delivered to the door of a loved one, addressing special healthcare needs, outlining alternative options to nursing home placement and so much more.
According to researchers at Indiana University, in the next three decades, the number of Indiana seniors is going to increase by more than 60 percent. If we think the issue of caring for our seniors and persons with physical disabilities is important now, just wait till we have more people than we know what to do with. We’re talking about 60 percent more. That’s more time, more people and more money.
Research has shown that 89% of Americans want to remain at home. That's where Link-Age comes in. It’s this great service that helps people easily find the help they need for long-term care. Options Counselors can help individuals explore long term care needs such as: Assisted Living, Adult Foster Care, Adult Day Services, Pre-Admission Screening for nursing facility placement, Reverse Mortgages, in-home healthcare services, healthy aging practices and much more. Whether they stop by the Generations' office to meet with an Options Counselor or visit the Link-Age Resource Library, call 1-800-742-9002, or visit link-age.org — people young and old, in good shape and not so good shape, have a single coordinated system of information and access to long-term support.
With Link-Age, people can explore alternative options to nursing home placement. And caregivers can manage to get out of the house for a few hours a week. It’s even helpful for families who are years away from needing any services or programs. The important part is they are planning for their future.
