This program costs nothing to join and there are no monthly meetings to attend. Time commitment flexibility that allows even the busiest person to participate. Angels gain a rewarding personal satisfaction from knowing they are being a friend to a lonely individual who wants to remain independent in their own home. Angels and VIPs are matched based on common interests and needs. All volunteers must pass a routine, limited criminal history check, at no cost to them. Angels are asked to make a personal contact by letter or phone at least twice a month to one participating individual to whom they have been matched. Angels are also encouraged to perform random acts of kindness for their VIP when possible. We encourage all age groups to complete a volunteer application.
